Project Manager

The Project Manager will oversee all facets of projects assigned to you, including but not limited to: Estimating, Project Management, Design, Implementation and closeout of projects.  Projects may include: Access Control, Intrusion and Detection Systems, Video Surveillance, Mass Notification, Distributed Annotation Systems (DAS), Structured Cabling, Paging, Fiber Optics and CATV.

The Project Manager will report directly to the Eastern Iowa Territory Manager, have peer relationships with other department project managers and a supervisory relationship with all direct or indirect reports assigned or linked to your projects.  

The Project Manager will have authority over the execution of all sold orders in regard to staffing, materials and any other specific elements related to the completion of project.  The Project Manager will also need to evaluate and approve quotes valued under $50K (proposals valued over $50K need to have bid review and a manager's signature).


  • Technical domain knowledge sufficient to perform responsibilities, satisfy performance measurements and ensure credibility with external stakeholders
  • TigerPaw mastery of applicable models
  • Clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel, some overnight required
  • Baseline certifications for solutions offerings
  • College degree (preferred) or applicable Technical Associate's degree.  Prior experience may be substituted at supervisor's discretion


  • Resource management (Technician Staff)
  • Final walkthroughs
  • Project signoffs
  • Project billing and reconciliation 
  • Provide day to day technical/professional guidance and leadership to department staff
  • Supervise personnel, which includes work allocation, employee training and problem resolution
  • Motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance
  • Assist in establishing and implementing short and long term goals for direct technicians
  • Maintain monthly job costing reports (reports will be generated from TigerPaw or supplied by Manager)
  • Provide up to date expense reports at the culmination of every week
  • Consistently update Outlook calendar to provide accurate availability
  • Adjusting hours of work, priorities and staff assignments to ensure efficient operation based on workload
  • Assist in customer transition to sales staff
  • Maintain working relationship with new and existing customers
  • ​Fill out Manpower worksheets weekly

Performance Measurements:

  • Service Order gross margin attainment at, or above established order and/or budgetary targets
  • Adherence to invoice forecasts (i.e. billing forecasts and billing dates)
  • Achievement of personal and department training plan
  • Adherence to time sheet and expense report policies
  • ​Ability to produce current dashboard and resource forecasts upon demand
  • ​Minimum customer satisfaction rating to be determined.
